Our Owner -- Susan Cosentini

Susan Cosentini (Coz) is an Ithaca native with a Master's degree from Cornell. With fifteen years' experience as a carpenter, crew leader, construction manager, and interior designer, Coz also has a solid background in hands-on construction.

Coz is a down-to-earth, no-nonsense kind of person, detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and extremely meticulous in both her work and in her communications. She grew up in a well-known, three-generation Ithaca business family.

Cosentini's Shoe Store on The Commons was owned by her father, and by his father before him. From her family, Coz learned early on the value of customer service and attention to reputation.

A Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame member, Coz spends her free time remodeling her own home, working on publications and spending time with her partner and daughters Jamie and Jordan.

Coz is a Past President of Tompkins Cortland Builders and Remodelers Association, (TCBRA); she also

• worked as a volunteer in constructing both Hospicare and the Sciencenter;
  
• organized and coordinated volunteer work efforts on low income housing for
    Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services (INHS);
  
• volunteers at the Ithaca Community Recreational Facility; and
  
• coaches Tompkins County Girls Hockey.
